Camille Edwards on being a positive influence

Camille Edwards managed large newsrooms across the country in big cities like New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. She’s led teams covered thousands of news stories during her 30 year career. A good portion of those stories were tragic.

She had to always be a positive influence for her team even during times of tragedy. Camille Edwards put in the time and effort it takes to remain positive even when there is a lot of negativity. How? She was always constantly taking the “pulse” of her team. Camille Edwards asked a lot of questions and tried to solve problems that were barriers to whatever the goal was at the time.

Camille Edwards always listened to her team members. Sometimes that all she did because creative people want to be heard and not told what to do. They need to know that you have their back no matter the circumstances and that they can always count on you to be a positive influence.
